Kristi is the lead consultant at Future InSight. She brings her passion for helping secondary school students from 20 years in public school teaching and counseling in Los Angeles and San Diego counties. As a college counselor at a top-rated magnet high school in the Los Angeles Unified School District and later as a high school counselor at a leading San Diego County high school, Kristi helped hundreds of students choose their post-secondary paths and apply successfully to the colleges of their choice. Now she brings her expertise and compassion to families across the geographical, educational and socioeconomic spectrum, including those who thought college might be out of reach for them. In addition to her master’s degree in psychology, Kristi holds a specialized certificate in college counseling from UCSD, is a WOW Method Certified Essay Coach, and is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), the Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC), and a professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA).

As a co-owner of Future InSight College Consulting, Jackie is eager to support students and families as they forge the path to higher education. She is an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and a member of the Western Association of College Admissions Counselors (WACAC). Through WACAC, she has completed the College Counseling Education Program (CCEP), meeting the performance expectations outlined by the California Department of Education PPS credential requirements for college counseling.  In pursuit of excellence in the college consulting field, she has taken over 100 courses and seminars to advance her college admissions consulting skill set, and has supported numerous students on their path to higher education. She continues to attend conferences, visit colleges, and attend workshops to delve deeply into the field to support students and families. Committed to community outreach, she and Kristi often present at public forums to share ever-changing college knowledge.  Her specialty areas include college essay writing and financial aid, with deep understanding of the college landscape for STEM, performing arts, LD/ND student needs, LGBTQ+ student concerns, and the college path for first generation college students.

Jeff came to Future InSight with 40 years experience in higher education as an instructor and academic support specialist. He taught linguistics, multiple languages, and English courses. Over the last decade of his university career, he directed writing centers and other academic support services at three southern California universities. Jeff’s experience in college learning support and other student services puts him in an ideal position to provide essay support for Future InSight students during the application process. He is a WOW Method Certified Essay Coach. He also can prepare students to access valuable support services at their chosen campus as they get ready to embark on the next step toward their future.
